A Happy Saturday

We had our outdoor play last Saturday in the clubhouse. It was really interesting how the kids enjoyed simply running around chasing a goose with their improvised feathers. The game was "Get the Goose." At first I was quite worried as to how they would behave outside especially because there were some other people in the clubhouse. But then they all stayed together and just enjoyed running in circles. It's funny how they forgot what the game was all about. Sometimes they would overtake the one holding the goose.
How is it that when kids run in circles, they have so much fun?! I hope even adults can have fun going nowhere! hehe.

An Antidote to Sadness

I'm so happy I can't contain it. To those who are feeling sad and confused, keep praying. There will be a day like today when that Eureka moment will come. And while you're lost somewhere, try to watch something funny... and LAUGH like there's no tomorrow. Trust me, it does wonders.

Nowhere

Ever felt that you're stuck in the middle of nowhere? It can be frustrating... Somehow, I feel like that now... (sigh)
But then I know there are good things ahead. (Actually maybe not too far ahead) And just the thought makes me smile. It's bitter-sweet. It's like wanting to fly, but finding yourself in a long plane ride instead. I wish I can just go out there, but maybe this safe place is where I should be right now. I'm going for a smooth touchdown. It won't be that long. Can't wait. :)

Happy Birthday Juaquim!

Today is the 3rd birthday of my nephew Juaquim. His birthday fell on a school day, and we totally enjoyed our time at school! We even baked a simple banana cake for him. Yummmmyy! The baking project was a success
Juaquim recently had a major operation for a cyst that was discovered and removed last November 5. I remember reading an email from his mom, Ate Mai, asking loved ones to pray for Juaquim. His cyst, that was mistaken for an abscess, was about the size of a clenched fist. Thank God that it was found to be benign. This is indeed the best gift he could ever receive on his 3rd birthday. Thank you Lord!
Here he is, back to his usual glee, cheerfully posing for the camera to show his gift from his classmates Joelien and Erin. And he made a Rabbit art too!
