Second Chances

All of us have been in trouble many times in our lives. I think it’s just part of growing up. We become known for different things - sometimes positive, sometimes negative. Our reputation in school can be the achiever type, class clown, or the invisible man; Or maybe the athlete of the year or the heartthrob.
There would be times we can be too impulsive! We get angry and make a fool out of ourselves by our wrong decisions. But do we have to be chained to things of the past?… Do we have to live by what others think about us or keep on frowning on the mistakes we made? No. We can forget about those and move on with our lives! Jesus’ saving grace covers a multitude of sins (yes, including that date you didn’t tell your parents!) and we can start anew. Whew, thank you Lord!
Jesus has freed us from our bondage from things of the past. We are free from the judgment of others and we can be the best we can be. We can break free from who we were, cling to Jesus, and shine as someone who has been changed by the Lord.
Jesus is asking you to let go of the past, because what you have in the present is beautiful. He longs for you every minute, every second. And where you will be in the future is a place that’s worry-free and full of wonderful things! Be free.
